Our printer just crapped out on us so it’s time for a new one!
We really like the 3 in 1’s. Printer, scanner, copier combo.
And the next thing we’d really like is to be able to hook 2 computers up to it. Right now whenever I wanted to print something, I’d have to print from DH’s computer.

Remember to check the cost of ink refills before you buy. With some printers you pay almost as much for the ink cartridge as the machine.
Many printers have wireless capacity nowadays so you can network in more than one computer.

I really like the HP products. The ink can be expensive, but I haven’t found other brand printers that match them for quality (my opinion). Look for a network ready printer. If you have a wireless router in your house, you can hook up the printer to that. We have four computers in the house, and any of them can use the printer in the living room.
How much are you willing to spend? I just bought color laser combo with scanner, copier, fax. I am in love with it. The print qualty is phenomenal. The toner cartridges are about $70 per, but get 2000 pages for color and 2500 for black.

I, also, am a fan of HP and have a great 3 in 1 that I got a few years ago and still use!

@Scottielass: We do have a wireless router (modem). I had no idea you could hook it up to that!
Not exactly sure what our price range will be but I’d be willing to spend a couple hundred if it meant getting a good printer that will last us a while.
Which one did you just buy?

Mine actually cost quite a bit more than that, but it’s a a laser. It cost $425, but it’s important to keep the ink/toner cost in mind. I was checking the cost of an HP XL black ink cartridge for an all-in-one ink jet, and it was $35. It only printed 600 pages. For the $70 cost of the toner cartridge, you are getting more than double the amount of pages printed. The tri-color cartridge gets 440 pgs and cost $40.99.
The real savings comes with the black toner. It is actually half the cost per-page than the traditional ink. The color printing is comparable. Another nice thing is that toner never goes bad. It’s fine plastic particles, so they can’t dry out.
I would say if you do a lot of printing, or need high quality, check out some lasers. I did see some scanner/copier/printer models in the $270-$299 range. Mine was more expensive because it has the fax, too.
This inkjet is in the price range you’re looking for. It’s $149 (50% off right now) for print/scanner/copier/fax. I have heard good things about it. The ink is cheap at $9.99, but only prints 300 for color, and 450 for black (I think).

Sorry for the long URL. Don’t know what’s up with that.

I’ve always had an HP all in one but it wasn’t doing the job when I was doing my invites. I got an Epson Artisan and I LOVE it. You can do literally everything and anything on this printer.

@Scottielass: Thanks! We don’t do very much printing at all. Every so often. I usually print stuff at work if I need it lol. But there is the odd thing at home that I need.
I’ll take a look at the link you sent.
