happy new year!
sooo, thanks to my best friend i was able to find my wedding dress at a sample sale (yay!)….it does need some good dry cleaning though, and i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good dry cleaner/seamstress in the new york city/ brooklyn area that they can recommend? trying not to break the piggy bank on this one.
any help would be appreciated…

I’m not in the area, but I would recommend going to the store you bought the dress from, and asking them who they use. A lot of bridal salons do not do cleaning/steaming in-house, but use a particular dry-cleaner who has experience with wedding gowns. They can likely point you in the right direction.

hey budgetgirl! i bought my dress on craigslist and ran into problems trying to find someone good who could alter the dress for me. i found a wonderful dressmaker who did a really amazing job with my dress, but she’s in fairfield, ct. (worked out for me because i commute to ct for work) message me if you want to see pics or want more info!!
