Need a venue in California Central Coast... HELP!

I am having the hardest time finding a venue for the reception I like... I am trying to stay very open minded, and our date is flexible (just sometime in 2012). For some reason everything I've seen so far just isn't right.

Mr. Clover and I want to get married somewhere in San Luis Obispo county since we met at Cal Poly and have been living in SLO, or in Santa Barbara county, as that will soon be our new home! We are inviting 190. We also want lodging to be relatively close so guests won't have to drive far. Other than this, no requirements..

These are the places we have looked at in SLO:

Dallidet Adobe- San Luis Obispo (possible option)

Monday Club- San Luis Obispo

Monarch Club at Trilogy Dunes- Nipomo (possible option)

Dana Powers House Barn & Garden- Nipomo

Seacrest Inn- Pismo Beach

Sea Venture Inn= Pismo Beach

Ventana Grill- Pismo Beach

Cayucos Creek Barn- Cayucos

Cayucos Vets Hall- Cayucos

Cambria Pines Lodge- Cambria (possible option)

Cavilier- Cambria

My next plan of action is to start looking in to the surrounding wineries. There are a billion of them, and this will be tedious... Also, I was hoping for something with beach view since we are in such a naturally beautiful area.

Next weekend we will be looking at some venues in Santa Barbara- the zoo, Bacara resort, fess parker, and rancho dos pueblos.

Any suggestions?? I desperately want to have a venue so we can have a date and start planning!

Hi there! You've certainly done your homework about the possible venues around you! Kudos to you on all your hard work! I've only visited your area once, but I've been to the Ventana Grill, and it's gorgeous! I'm sure a wedding there would be beautiful!

One of my bridesmaids is getting married in your area this fall, and here is a list that she compiled during her venue search:

The Casitas (Arroyo Grande)

Sycamore Mineral Springs

She ended up selecting the Gardens at Peacock Farms in Arroyo Grande for her big day. Sorry that I can't give you more information, but hopefully this list can be somewhat helpful. Good luck and happy planning! :)
