I would go with the 1.25 if you’re worrying about it being too big because moissanite face up tends to look a little bigger than a diamond or other stone. I have a 1ct moissanite and I’ve compared it to a 1.25 ct diamond and it’s not much smaller.

Personally, I love the first setting!

Is there a reason why you can’t put the 1.25 carat with the 6-prong setting or the 1.5 carat with the 4-prong?

And what are the mm measurements of the stones you’re considering?

ETA: Nevermind, will wait to weigh in until further info obtained.

^^ Yeah, I’d probably recommend the 1.5, especially on size 7-7.25 fingers.

Unless for some reason you much prefer the 4-prong setting and can’t get the 1.5 carat in the 4-prong (still not sure why this wouldn’t be possible though).

Also sorry my posts are making a mess of this thread, OP.

court1219:  What was the size of your original e-ring? Would you prefer having a 6-prong again or are you indifferent between 4 and 6?

Without knowing anything about your size/style preferences, I’d go with 1.5 in a 6-prong.

But if you had a smaller original e-ring and want to keep it similar to that, or if you don’t like larger rings in general, etc., then that might change things a bit.

MrsBuesleBee has a gorgeous 1.5 in a 6-prong — it’s not a moissy and her fingers are a tiny 5.5, but her pics might be a good starting point.

I say go for the 1.5.  This is my 1.5 ct Asha – size 6 finger

TrueLove407:  Sorry I didn’t recommend taking a look at your ring as well! I kept thinking it was a 2 for some reason.
