My wedding and reception are at the same location. Do I need to provide transportation for my wedding party in this case? Also does any one have any suggestions for transportation for the bride and groom from the ceremony/reception cite to a hote?

@cellis428:  Will the majority of the bridal party be staying in a hotel that night? Or will they be going home to their own homes?

If everyone is staying at a hotel, providing transport would be nice but not necessary. If they are all going home, I'm not even sure how you'd arrange that.

@KatNYC2011:  I'm not really sure what people would do.people of the bridal party lives close enough to drive probably they probably won't get a hotel. Im not sure how I would arrange getting them home either! I am just concerned bc their is an open bar and I want people to enjoy themselves but not to drink and drive. Just looking for optionssuggestions.

DH and I drove ourselves.  We have a classic Mustang and a convertible so it worked out perfect for us.  Unless you want to pay for a limo, I would either drive your own car or rent a nice car for the day.

I would just have your wedding party drive themselves.  If you think ppl will need a ride home after the wedding, you can check local taxi companies to see how much it would cost to drive ppl home.   My family decided to rent hotel rooms locally.  Since we got married on a Thursday, it was easier to find cheap hotel rooms via Hotwire.

I've never cared for limos or fancy transportation and frankly don't have the money for it.

My tenative plan is to have everyone hop in a couple cars together from our hotel to the venue.
