After much research without actual success, I still don't have a photographer for my wedding early next year. Two photographers who were within my budget and whom I seriously considered got pregnant and will deliver around the time of my wedding so I was not able to book them. And even someone I wanted to hire to do a wedding cake got pregnant as well!
I need recommendations for a photographer around $3000 or under in the Orange County area.
In LA but the OC won't be a problem for him. His packages start around $2000. Our $3000 package included a second photographer, engagement session, engagement guestbook, album, all high-res images on CD, and a bunch of 8x10 and 11x14 enlargements.
You can always negotiate with a photographer if you don't want certain things. Say, you don't want any enlargements or proofs; you can ask for a discount for that.
Also, there's no danger that he'll be pregnant by your date.
i recommend caroline tran. we haven't used her yet but have a contract with her and her work is very good. her prices are also very reasonable. i'm not sure if she's planning on getting pregnant but she should be ok if it's early next year!
I would look into www.ventureoutphoto.com. He does photography on the west coast in oregon, California and Washington. His prices range from $800-$1600 plus travel costs.
Sorry I can't give you any recomendations but maybe you should think about hiring a man. You seem to have a catching kind of karma that gets ladies pregnant. Good luck with your search.

Also, is negotiation acceptable?
Thanks,
