How did she know where you worked? This seems so bizarre!

I would totally report her. Ask for the person above her and also talk to corporate. I’m so sorry 🙁

That’s bizarre.. Why would the David’s Bridal manager be involved in any of it? Especially being so upset that you didn’t purchase the dress right away.. And if thats what happened & you really didn’t say anything I’d call the manager & speak with her.. You could also request a meeting between your manager & that manager.. Super strange situation though…

Wow–I’d contact someone at DB corporate if I were you.  What this lady did is wrong on many levels, and I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with it.  If I were DB corporate, I would give you a huge discount on all your dresses from there since this woman’s actions cost you your job.  Good luck with everything.

Appyling at another job is not grounds for firing.  I think you can easily contest it, but of course you would probably need a lawyer.  Can you get a free consult with one?

That seems a little brash.

You could always open up a civil lawsuit based on slander, if calling David’s Bridal Corporate gets you nowhere.

I could be wrong, but I think I see a troll.

Strange that they would know where you worked unless it was somehow mentioned.  Do you live in a right to work state?  If so, sadly, anyone can be let go for any reason.  I just find this odd, people have to walk away from there every day to “think about it” why on earth would it upset them?

Good luck to you.

I would have your boss write a statement and send it with a letter to David’s Bridal HQ. I would then follow up with emails and calls. Even if you were bad mouthing your place os work- the managers actions are totally inappropiate.

I can’t believe it! I am so sorry! As PP said,I would go straight to her supervisor and get her ass fired. How can someone be so petty?!
