We are having our wedding in New York and are looking an affordable venue with a great water (lake/sound) views and beautiful natural beauty.
We are looking for places in Long Island or any place that's within a two hour drive from long island. We want to keep reception costs under 15K, tho we could go higher. Need a place that accomodate up to 200 people.
depending on time of year and saturday/sunday/day/night wedding...you could try venetian yacht club in long island, or glen island harbor club in new rochelle. chateau la mer is also in long island (with bride/groom arrival by yacht!). lands end and east wind are also by the water.
battery gardens in downtown manhattan has gorgeous views and the prices are very reasonable. Ilene (one of the hosts at BG) is very professional and organized. www.batterygardens.com
ditto on battery gardens. pretty good pricing. great water views. ability to do outdoor ceremony. also worth looking into is pier sixty and/or the lighthouse at chelsea piers.
