Where I am the Episcopalian church cares about the important stuff, the 'do you believe in Jesus' stuff, and not the rest of the details. I think they want one of the couple to be part of the church, and do some premarital counseling, but that's it. Of course I live in a liberal area. But generally, approach them with respect and they'll do the same for you. Don't lie! Even if they can't marry you they may be able to point you in the right direction. Though the priests I know would marry you anyway, and encourage you to get more involved in the church. After all, rejecting people looking for Christ, even just for their wedding, is hardly a good way to promote Him!

Hi bees! I have been doing some brainstorming and I wondered if anyone on the bee would be able to offer some advice. Here's the situation:
I was born and raised Catholic (Dad was catholic, Mom anglican). We went to church every Sunday, I received the sacriments, all that business. When life got busy I stopped attending. Recently I have started going back to church, but have been attending an ANGLICAN church because I have felt more comfortable there.
Anyways, FI is not baptized but identifies as Christian (mostly meaning he believes in Jesus and God and basically everything I do, but his parents didn't baptize him).
Another "strike" so to speak is that we live together.
The minister we're meeting with knows none of this. Am I ridiculous to expect she'll agree to marry us? What kinds of things should I say at our meeting?? Ack!
