Hello Bees! I have a Q for u all. I purchased a ring about 9 mo ago ftom Pompeii3 on Etsy – it was fairly inexpensive and pretty for what I paid but now I am told by my local jeweler 10 stones are either cracked or chipped! Really?? I wore it 3-4 days a week or less – I am carefull w/ jewelry – this seems wrong. They will remake the ring if I buy a warrenty for $95 – that is almost half the cost of the ring! Should I have to pay to fix an obvious defect?!? Has anyone purchased from this company or have experience with them? I am leaning toward demanding a refund and buying a new ring elsewhere. Opinions?? Here is a pic of the ring.

I don’t have a ring from them.. But, honestly, 9 months later they probably won’t issue a refund. And, they won’t be responsible to either. Not that far out from a purchase. Sorry.. I would buy the $95 insurance and have the jeweler fix it all. Or, contact the seller and see if they will be willing to fix it for you. But almost a year since you bought it is a long shot.

I bought my wedding band from them, but I had very low expectations. I was in a pinch and needed a cheap wedding ring with some stones, honestly they could be cubic zirconia for all I care. So I don’t think they will give you a refund because at such low prices I wouldn’t expect high quality to begin with

I don’t know about this seller in particular, but I would not ask for a refund if I was in your position. Since it was so long ago, there’s no way to prove she sent you the item with the stones missing or that something that happened in the course of the 9 months you’ve had it. I also think that’s way outside the reasonable returnable time frame for most companies, let alone an individual seller on etsy.
I would decide to either pay the $95 to have the jeweler fix it or buy another ring and leave the etsy seller out of it.

I got my wedding band from them. it was affordable, so like melonseeds, I had low expectations.
Compared to my engagement ring, the diamonds in my band are noticably of less quality if you look close. They have inclusions, maybe some cracks, but the ring is durable. I’ve never lost a stone. For what I paid, I think the ring is great. It’s held up over the two years I have been wearing it (and I rarely remove my rings).
I thought my interaction with the company was fine.
As in a lot of things in life, what you pay will determine the quality.

Can we get a pic to see it IRL? I love that ring! And I’m sorry that it didn’t hold up 🙁

Here it is IRL with two rings bought from another seller at same time (they r both fine )- like I said it is a pretty ring – I am just worried that in anothet 9 months stones will be lost if they are already cracked.

I purchased from them and tbh the ring was crap. I ended up selling it secondhand for a loss. It was not the right size and almost microscopic.
