I think it would look fine, the gold and champagne should go together well.
I think pale pink and gold look gorgeous together! Very vintage.
I think the gold color is beautiful and I applaud you for thinking "outside the box"! I would have done the same if I could have (I'm an encore) but I knew FI (it's his first) wanted the white/ivory dress. I think the pale pink/blush flowers would look elegant and sophisticated with your dress! I think your Mom and sis may be just reacting to the fact that you're not wearing white or ivory. Do what you want! It will be beautiful! Lots of brides are opting for color these days and I really love it.
Absolutely lovely. I think with a pink bouquet it would be stunning!
Yes I too think this would be pretty together. Go on to stylemepretty and search for marie antoniette weddings. I think there are a few that I have seen in those colors. That will help you get a visual of how they look together. btw.. beautiful dress...I'm a blush pink Maggie bride and love the Maggie dresses in color good choice!
I think that would be a gorgeous color scheme. I might use more ivory and pink flowers and keep the gold as an accent since your dress will be the main focal point of the pictures and what not.
boo... every maggie bride looks better in diamond white..... gold is cheesy, with white the sparkles catch your eye and making the dress more intriguing and makes you look a little harder to see the detail. (which is a good thing)
have you maybe thought of holding a hot pink boquet while your bridesmaids wear pink and hold champagne roses? That would be HOT too! You could even stagger and mix the colors, maybe do a boquet mix of champagne and hot pink on some bridesmaids, some champagne only, some hot pink and pink only, and you with the hot pink. I could see how your family may think the pink and gold/champagne are too matchy, but i think it will still look good. to be safe, I'd add in another non-neutral color like the hot pink, or something else.
It is unusual, but I like the gold- it is more of an antiqued gold. It'll look great with pale pink flowers. Even Martha loves it: http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/perfect-palette-pink-and-gold
I love it! I'm going for a very similar color scheme. Only my girls are the reverse - they'll be wearing a champagne-ish color and carrying pale pink roses.
If you're worried about clashing - get swatches from the dresses and bring them to your florist - see what he says. Talk to your photographer too and see what he/she thinks and how it'll all photograph together. It sounds really pretty though.

I have absolutely fallen in love with the Aurelie gown by Maggie Sottero. I tried the sample on in Gold and was just stunned by how gorgeous and coture it looked. I had never planned on getting a gold dress but I just don't think it compares in white or Ivory- the color really makes this dress.
My wedding is in May and my colors are pink, champagne, and ivory. I plan to have my bridesmaids wear a pale rose pink and carry champagne roses. Do you think it would be ok if I wore the gold dress and carried pale pink roses or peonies? I definetly don't want to clash and in my head I think it's going to look nice but my mom and sister said it would be way too much? I held a pale pink bridesmaids dress up to the sample gown in the salon and liked it but I'm just not sure now that my head has been filled with doubt.
What do you ladies thinks?
