im doing my own DIY centerpieces and bouquets (though I may get mine made up professionally). This is because my budget for decor is very tight!
I thought I had found a perfect site to do it wit Saveoncrafts.com but it turns out they only ship US And im in the UK. My future father in law has warned me against doing any forward shipping companies as they are very expensive and there is also import duty/VAT to pay.
Im really struggling to find an affordable website that will ship to the UK (or even Norway or South Africa as we have friends there), that isn’t trade only. I’m not a florist so i can’t use the trade sites.
So far I’m finding artificial roses for £4.99 each!! (That’s like $8 a rose for US bees) which is way too much for me (That’s the same price as real ones)
I can’t afford to go for real flowers (my last quote was £1300!!!!) I was going for roses/peonies/cherry blossom/carnation/filler as the flowers I’m interested in, in pale pink or cream or gold.
Please help me find some flowers!!!

Afloral.com has great prices and an international shipping partner.

I used silkflowersfactory. The colours were a bit off from their examples but they were so cheap I didn’t really care. They shipped to Australia so I assume they will ship to the UK.

Blimey, how much were you getting for your £1300 quote. I just got a quote for £270 for
1 Brides hand tied Boquet
2 Bridesmaids hand tied Boquet
2 Mothers corsarge
2 Grandmothers corsarge
1 Grooms boutinaire
5 Button holes
1 3ft table centre for top table
We are haiving roses and some soft, wild looking flowers
I’m DIYing table centres with flowers in jam jars. I think our florist will be able to sell us all the flowers we need for them and for the church for around £150
Sorry, I dont know where to find silk, but just thought your quote sounded really high.

@LilLis: that included:
1 bride bouquet
5 bridesmaid corsages
2 men’s buttonholes
15 pew ends
10 candelabra flowers (Balls of gypsophilia)
if your florist is supplying your diy flowers will you be putting those together yourself on the morning of your wedding?

@Rachael1287: Ebay! I promise you, Ebay.
There were big lots for sale that included: a bridal bouquet, two or three bridesmaid bouquets, like 10 buttonieres and corsages, and a bunch of centerpieces for like $130, and they were MASSIVE floral pieces and already arranged for you!

I used efavormart for my silk bouquets. They are in us and shipped to Aus. I paid roughly $50 which included shipping for around 250 rose buds.

@Rachael1287: Luckily for me the florist will deliver the flowers to the venue and I will deliver the decorated jam jars. The events co-ordinator will throw the flowers into the jam jars for me. So no extra work on the day.
The Chrurch ladies arrange the Church flowers if we supply them.
Its working for us, and costing a lot less than I expected for real flowers.

I’m doing artifical flowers for my wedding, and believe it or not, I’ve found a lot of promising designers on Ebay! There are a lot of nice ladies with small floral arrangement businesses on there. They will custom make arrangements, and all my conversations with them so far have been very pleasant!

Try Sola Flowers – they’re a type of wood. They look SO real.
