    Hi Ladies!

I am my sister's MOH and we are planning her bach party in Austin for about 6 or 7 girls. We are all from the east coast so don't know much about the area except that it's awesome. All I have learned so far from researching is that 6th street is fun, and we should try to stay downtown. Am looking for hotel recs, restaurant and bar recs, day spa recs, and anything else you all think are must dos!!

    Thanks so much!

For my bach party we started with a private karaoke room at The Highball and then went downtown for drinks and dancing.

IMO there are 2 parts to downtown. 6th street east of Congress St. is mostly made up of college bars and can get pretty loud and crazy.  West of Congress St. has some more variety and a tamer crowd.

PM me if you want a list of hotels, restaurants and entertainment I gave our wedding guests.

Like Waffle said, there's different parts to the bar scene in Austin...

6th street is basically college age craziness, which is fun if you're into that.

West 6th I've heard is fun (think older 20's crowd). I heard you can reserve a table at Molotov and they have good music, but I haven't been there myself.

For my bachelorette, we got a hotel on 4th street and went to dinner, back to the hotel to drink before heading out to Six Lounge, which I loved. It  had great music and we (well, not me. I'm blind apparently!) saw Lance Armstrong. I totally would've asked for a picture if I had seen him, lol. After Six, we went to Kiss & Fly, which is a gay bar. 4th St has a bunch of gay bars apparently. It was fun! I think the area around 4th St is known as the Warehouse District, which is more upscale I believe.

    Hope this helps a little!
