So far all I’ve got for decor are my centerpieces which are really simple white, green and light yellow flowers in a vase. I’m just going crazy trying to think of other things I could do for decor besides the center pieces… I thought I’d ask your opinions since you guys are always so helpful. My wedding colors are Ivory, white, light yellow and light green. I’ll also include a few pics of the venue so you’ll get an idea.
This is the down stairs dinning area, it’s covered in windows over looking the river which will look so beautiful in August.
This is the dance floor, still down stairs.
This is a pic of the upstairs loft area
The ceiling has these really pretty chandeliers
Here is the outside area right on the river
Hope you bees can help me!!!

Some lighting on the deck outside (like white christmas lights) would look super pretty at night, and make some good pictures of you and your husband! As far as the other decor, I’m not to sure but I hope some bee’s will give you some ideas 🙂

I think the chandeliers will add a nice glow and ambiance, so I don’t think you need anything additional – however, I would def add some votive candles to your tables/around your centerpeices which will continue to add to the “glow” feeling of the room, and bring the light to eyelevel.
Before I give advice on the other areas, how will they be used? Will people be sitting or waiting in the upstairs loft area? Is the deck where your ceremony will be?

This is what I have in mind so far, I’ll have the DJ and dancing outside, downstairs will be the dinner, and upstairs will be Photo booth and candy bar…? Or I could just do seating upstairs and downstairs with the dj on the dance floor and have the photo booth and a kind of hang out area outside and keep the candy bar next to the entrance.

I don’t really like the idea of dancing & DJ outside – so personally, I would stick with the dancefloor inside for that.
Also, I wouldn’t split the tables either – many people want to be able to remain seated but still part of the “dancing action” and if they were upstairs, it seperates them from the main wedding activity downstairs.
I do like the idea of either the photobooth upstairs, or if you want it outside – is this a rented photobooth? Or a self made w/ a backdrop?
What I think will be cool is if you use the outside area as a “lounge area” that way when people want some fresh air from dancing, they can lounge outside. Depending on the feel of the wedding, if it is more of a casual affair, you could do outdoor games like washers or cornhole (that way you arn’t destroying property) in the lounge area for those that don’t want to dance. Also, if you are having a cockatil hour, this would be a perfect area for people to relax.
In terms of decorating the lounge area, I would make it all about lighting – either wrap the trunks of trees with christams lights, or get large vases with candles to put on both sides of each bench.
