So I’m having a hard time deciding what to do. I through together a quick mock up of the table setting tonight so I could figure out quantity of flowers to order. Basically I’m DIYing all the flowers. These aren’t the right colour or aren’t put together the way I want but a good idea of the quantity per jar. The other parts of the table are pretty accurate, except we’ll have white plates. The table Im using is 3.5 feet and the ones weve ordered will be 5 foot but with 8 people so still tight. The frame will also the tolsby frames when I pick them up.
My mom thinks there’s just too many things going on. What do you think? I agree that it’s a bit busy but with only 2 jars it looks kind of off- I thought all things had to be in 3s. This is also quite a bit over my budget…..like double. It’s still very low (around $15-$18 for flowers for 3 jars) but still over my budget. So what do you think I should do?

I think that with the large picture frame and the votives, one arrangement, or three smaller ones would be much better. The flowers you’ve chosen are lovely, but look too cramped.

Have you considered doing one tall jar and two short jars, or different shapes of jars/vases? That may add more depth and contrast.

One vase, one photo, three candles. People will need room for their plates, drinks, silverware, purses, shawls, etc… so don’t use up half the table. otherwise I love the vibe you’ve got going on! Very victorian and classy.

I think at a smaller table with 8 people, one flower vase and candles and the frame around it would look good. The place settings will take up more space tahn you think. I

Draw a circle the size of your table on newspaper laid out on the floor .
Place all the plates, cutlery and glass ware. That will give you a better idea of how much space is available.
It appears to me that your mockup is taking up way too much space. One floral arangement, three votives and the Tolsby frame will be plenty. If you really want more than one arrangement, add something really small – in a teacup for example., or add some small bottles with individual flowers.

Thanks everyone for their ideas and feedback!! 🙂 So much easier hearing it from strangers on the internet vs family lol.
@Belleyboo: I hadn’t thought of that. That’s a good idea.
Here’s two more pics, of just one jar or with two smaller ones, which do you like?
