Hello hive! I am having a hard time making a decision on flower girl dresses. I will be wearing the Watters Golbi dress in Ivory and my bridesmaids will be wearing floor length gray Twobirds gowns. The two wonderful little girls will 7 and 8 at the time of our wedding. One of the two is very very girlie and wants the biggest pink puffy princess dress, the other is just happy to have a fun day and have her nails painted (her family has been having some medical issues and are low on funds so this is a big deal for her to have something special).
My issue is that all poofy dresses I have found (like on esty) look like they are made for 3 year old girls or cost $200 plus. Also I cannot make up my mind on if I want the girls in something that is more like my dress (ivory silk taffeta) or more different (fairy puffs hehe).
Any ideas or recommendations would be wonderful!!!
Oh the wedding colors are pink, blue, and gray so I would like the girls dresses to be in those colors.

I really like flower girls’ dresses to be in the same color as the bride’s dress.
ETA: Here is a pic of my FG’s dress — it was beautiful and poofy, but in light ivory to match my gown. You could always have a sash to coordinate with your bridesmaids or in another wedding color.

I think matching colour or similar fabric but in another wedding colour in maybe a more “poofy” shape, I’d check out some kids and department stores to see what’s available to try on.

I think pink poofy dresses would be really cute.

I personally like flower girls in colored dresses. Because I was a flower girl twice once in a white dress that matched the bride and once in a hand made floral dress. I wore the heck out of that floral dress. The white one is still in my moms closet because she feels bad to get rid of it. I just feel like colored dress are more practical for little girls. But in the end it is up to you
My favorite place to find little girl dresses is Zulily.com Here is a pink one they currently have.

Check here: (I’ve ordered from here for my MOB gown, and loved it-great quality-I don’t have any other connection to them.) Prices are phenomenal!

I’m not a fan of flower girl dresses matching the bride’s dress in any way (color, style) nor do I like it when they look like little brides themselves. So, I’d chose the option that is least matchy and least bridey.

I, personally, don’t like the flower girl dresses to match the bride’s dress. I vote for a poofy one in a wedding color.
I got my daughter’s dress from here. You can browse around if you want to.
