Food is going to be the number one thing she needs right now. She needs to eat to keep up her strength and to be able to breasfeed and keep the baby healthy. I would either try to come up with a schedule of days to help her or all chip in cash to sign up for a meal delivery service, whatever works better for you guys.

I'm turning to the hive for this one because I know I'll get amazing ideas.
My boss has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and he has to take a 6-month leave for surgery and aggressive treatments. The saddest part is, he and his wife just had their first baby two months ago. The wife and baby will be home alone while my boss stays at the hospital for the six weeks (he has to be quarantined). We would really like to do something for the wife (like send over dinners or maybe a maid service), but we'd like other ideas.
If you were in my shoes, what would you want to give (besides hugs)? They do have family somewhat nearby for babysitting services, so I know that's the one thing they don't need.
