Hey Bees! So, I know that the whole reason wedding planners exist is to help us engaged ladies keep our cool, try and assist with any family drama (keep it to a minimum), and help make our days great, BUT I am soo so thankful for my wedding planner. Our wedding isn’t until October so I have some time, but I really want to do something nice for her, maybe something creative instead of just a gift card.
For any of you thinking, ‘you crazy girl, that’s what you’re paying her for!’, I get that it’s her job to be amazing and helpful, but she’s helped alleviate so many feelings of stress, upset, everything. If I’m feeling emotional about ANYTHING I can text/call/email any time. I feel like she’s gone above and beyond her job description and I’m so grateful that FI and I can enjoy this whole process without a lot of the usual stress associated with it. I have an anxiety disorder and so you can imagine I’ve had many moments of ‘AAAHHH!’ in regards to finances, coordination, etc, and she’s done amazingly well helping me to be calm and remember WHY we’re doing all of this – for a beautiful marriage, not just a beautiful day 🙂
Thoughts? I’m a designer and have a graphic designer friend, so we’re able to do some pretty crafty things. I’ve been scouring pinterest but nothing is screaming at me yet. About her – I think of Ann Taylor, Lilly Pulitzer, etc 🙂 I’m not sure if that helps at all!

gymbunny04: I, like you, love to give gifts instead of gift certifications..and I plan to get my fabulous photographer and hairstylist a gift, just for being so amazing (My wedding is also in Octobger). I work at a fun boutique and we do alot of monogramming..some of my thoughts included:
A fun beach bag/cooler/travel bag of some sort with their monogram, or last name so they could use it as a family. The brand we sell at my store is SCOUT and they have really fun things.
Personalized Stationery, memo blocks or fold over notes (I’m a notecard freak!) With her love for Lily Pulitzer and being a wedding planner…she might appreciate some cute pink/green fold over notes to send her clients…?
A thank you basket- including a bottle of wine, a cute notepad set, hand soap and lotion (made from mason jars, great for kitchens and bathrooms, not bath and body works), obviously a handwritten note thanking them and maybe a few small items.
Those were my random thoughts. I will pick one as we get closer to the date. I dont think you can go wrong with anything personalized with their monogram or last name!

I’m a wedding planner and I once had a bride that gave me a Lily Pulitzer agenda! I loved it so much and it was super sweet that she got my style. I’ve also gotten a Kate Spade clutch and earrings (from two separate brides) which was really sweet. Usually only the celebrity wedding planners are the ones making 6-figures so anything a little fancy is much appreciated. However, when in doubt a heartfelt card with a $100 bill in it usually does the trick.
If you want to say thank you and don’t have a lot of money to spare after all of the costs of the wedding. A great gift is writing a glowing review on all the wedding websites you used (make sure you use their name) or give them access to your wedding photos for their portfolio if they are up and coming.
Hope that helps!
