I have to say, the guy we worked with for my ring (Brian Gavin) is pretty amazing. And they'll work with you to custom make whatever you want.
His diamonds are *spectacular* H&As -- BG is a fifth-generation diamond cutter, and his wife and he have all their stones on site. They'll be honest when you ask them questions. They're based in Houston -- same as Whiteflash (actually, they cofounded WF and then left to do their own thing)

have you tried googling jewelry stores in your area? for instance, "jewelry store minneapolis" or "engagement ring minneapolis" might lead to some stores :)
I'm a big fan of supporting local business, personally. :) If you're looking to save money though, I know of a few folks who have had great success in buying rings through ebay and other online services.

Hi,
I am looking for an engagement ring and a wedding band for my future wife. I have a ball park idea for the wedding band, the standing one that can be seen on the picture attached (http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1219/1434313782_13b81e68d5_m.jpg) but with 7 stones and in white gold.
I also need to find an solitaire engagement ring that matches in size (appr 2,5mm wide and 2mm high), shape (slightly rounded with straight sides) etc. that sits flush with the wedding band (I personally like the traditional Tiffany setting but it needs to match and flush the wedding band in the style seen on the picture). In regards to the centre diamond, I am thinking somewhere close to 0,4 ct, ideal, F, VVS2.
I am trying to fit those two rings in to a budget of appr. 2500 USD, I realize that might be hard so the budget do have sime flexibility. I preferably want to find the two rings at a jeweller that has business online.
After screening the interesting discussions on the forum I am positive that someone might be able to help me find what I am looking for or something even better. I (and hopefully my future wife) would be eternally grateful.
