Some people do a bridal party dance or a mother/son dance, but we aren't doing these. We picked music for the bouquet and garter toss and for the last dance song too. The rest of our music is a total mix, but all songs that we hope people will love to dance too! We have classic big band songs, modern pop, R&B, classic rock... it's a large assortment!
Some people also choose a special song for the cake cutting. Other than that, I think most DJs work better with just some general guidance. As far as the ceremony goes, you'll want music for the girls to walk in to, for you to walk in to, for you to walk out to and any other music you may want playing in the background as guests arrive.

Ok ladies I need help with required music selection. My DJ said he'd meet with us a week or so before the wedding but I want to be prepared for what I need. So what is the list of music you definitely have to have for your DJ?? I know basics like first dance and father/daughter dance, but what else??? And what do I need for the ceremony???
