That board looks FANTASTIC! It's also unique and unexpected to combine it with the blue.
I also did a blue and gold wedding with Sunflowers and I loved how everything turned out! I think adding touches of another color could also be very pretty.
Here's one of my favorite pictures from my wedding with myself and the bridal party showing off our DIY bouquets and flower girl basket. Yellow bouquets just look so happy!
I think the blue and yellow works really well. I also like sunflowers paired with a soft green.

True the picture is daisies, but it would work with sunflowers too. It is also my color palette so I am totally partial.
@MsTerrapin : Gorgeous! I love it. I went to your boards right away and looked at more photos from the wedding, it looked fantastic! I was wondering if you have any more photos of the reception decor, specifically table set up, centerpieces, etc. This is where I lack the most inspiration/vision for what i awnt and could use any help!
@tnason I do like that as well! Do you have an i-board or any more photos? I haven't exlored your boards yet so maybe i'll go do that now.. but if you have any more photos or suggestions, please post them!
@July-- I went pretty simple with my table decor. We had white table clothes and blue napkins on all of the tables. Then we did half of the tables with sunflowers and hypernicum berries in metal watering cans and half of the tables with metal pails filled with lemons and limes. These were the mock ups I did of my centerpieces (don't have my wedding photos of the centerpieces on this computer to show you)
I hot glued some raffia around the lemon/lime pails and they just looked so cute. I loved them and they were so simple to make.
@MsTerrapin Thanks so much!!! I love the idea of incorporating lemons!
@July: I wish I had more to give you. I actually don't even know what my flowers are going to look like. I'm letting my mother take care of them. I don't have a bridal party and I don't have a lot of details.
I like this but with green ribbon.

I used to have sunflower centerpieces saved but I seem to have purged them. Something as simple as a bunch of sunflowers in a glass vase or mason jar with a green ribbon tied around it.
This was some invitation inspiration.

The invitation that inspired what we actually did (but with green ribbon) I don't have pictures of our actual invitation.

And finally our cake inspiration (I love.)
And our actual caketopper.
My shoes.
I don't know if these pictures help you at all, but I think that you could readily create centerpieces combining sunflowers with greens like eucalyptus and green ribbon for beatiful results. Or you can go with blue and also have beautiful results. Do what appeals to you and don't worry about it too much. The decor is a compliment, not the heart of the wedding.
I am also planning on doing sunflowers. My colors are royal purple, fuchsia, yellow and green. And a few others here and there. I like color so I'm trying to keep it creative!
Oooh....when I saw this I had to comment becasue we did a sunflower theme wedding and they're one of my favorites :-). We went with yellow and brown (we had an August wedding), with a bit of red (the guys ties were red and I intended to have red with the flowers, too, but had to switch that to pink based on availability of flowers in our area). Our new bedroom is golden yellow and brown now, with a hint of red, and I still love that combination.
But, that said, I really love the look of the yellow and blue (which is another favorite color combination). And I think you could definitely pull off the pink with the sunflowers, though I like the blue better still.
Let's see if I can post a picture of my sunflower boquet for you...
I really like the yellow and blue with some purple thrown in! The purple is kind of unexpected but gorgeous!
It wont let me vote in the poll for some reason... but i love the blue/yellow. Not a fan of the pink.
I like the blue & sunflowers. Maybe a dark royal blue as well?
Our comination is sunflowers & purple - we are getting married in Scotland & having thistles in our flowers as part of the purple :)
Hi I think they will be my theme flower also... I am also adding an orange color as well.

The one thing I KNOW I want for my wedding is sunflowers- they have sentimental meaning for me, and I think they're just beautiful. I have no problem designing my color scheme around them. I'm shooting for a mid-late summer wedding.
My original idea was blue with sunflowers. The other day, D suggested adding more to the color pallette.. we were at the beach at sunset and the colors in the sky were a pinkish, yellowish, reflecting on the blue ocean. D suggested mimicking that.
So, i hastily and quickly made these two inspiration boards. Let me know what you think.
