need help choosing shoes for navy blue dress

I'm going to a friend's wedding this weekend and have a navy dress... I need cute shoes on a tight budget... we're talking less than $30-40... I went to target tonight and boooo nothing I liked... I need a little heel b/c my legs look like sausage stumps when I wear a just-below-the-knee dress with flats (trust me).
Anyone have any ideas what colors will work? My closet is full of black heels/sandals and pumps... two pairs of brown and two pink and one white... None of them look right.

I was thinking silver or navy, most likely not gold (it's just not a good color on me!) Any ideas bees???

Silver would be good, what about a cognac or chestnut brown, it's a bit richer than "brown" shoes, and that's what I usually wear with my navy dresses. Or even red, if it goes with the pattern/ style. I don't think it would be a faux paux to wear red shoes to a wedding :)

i'd do red or silver. if you dont want to spend a lot, dont laugh, try someplace like ross, tj max, payless, etc. they usually have a ton of semi trendy options for possibly one time use shoes where you dont have to worry about quality as much, it's more for the look.
