i LOVE the 2nd dress!  I think they are both beautiful, though!  I guess it also depends on your venue/ceremony type too!  I think the 2nd dress is just perfect for a spring wedding and both are elegant enough for a fancy venue =)

I’m not usually a fan of strapless, but I think the Fanal looks better on you of the two.  I look forward to seeing more dresses you try on 🙂

I love the first dress on you! I personally love belts/sashes and how they give any woman a flattering waistline!

I’m a fellow Chicago bride myself… where are you having your wedding? Reception venue might play a factor in the style of dress you choose. Also, where did you go dress shopping? I am going for the first time this Saturday and so far have onlyl made one appointment at a bridal store in the burbs.

I voted for number 2 – I think it’s very flattering on you.

I’m another Chicago bride. I actually attended a wedding last year at Cog Hill.

P.S. I aslo went to A Joyful Occasion. They were so wonderful there.

I’ll have to check out A Joyful Occasion, as I am from Naperville and having my wedding there too! This Saturday I’m going to Bridal Mansion of Lisle to try on dresses because that’s where my mom got her wedding dress 30 years ago!

@Merelton: Based on your ceremony/reception description, I’d go with the first dress. It looks great on you!

Oh I’m actually having a hard time with this one! I think that you look beautiful in both! I really love the first dress but I think that the second one looks a teensy bit better. I think what’s making it so hard is that I like the color of the first one. I know this wasn’t very helpful, just know that both really are flattering!

I LOVE the second one one you!!! The flower detail/texture isn’t overwhelming and adds just the right amount of feminine. With the V-neckline it also balances you out and is very figure flattering! 🙂

The first dress seems to emphasize your hips, and that’s the first thing my eyes are drawn to…it’s because some of the skirt draping starts just under your left hip & paired with the bling sash and being strapless & the longer train, there’s nothing else to balance out the bottom.

You doing anymore dress shopping?! How exciting!!

Both dresses look lovely but I think I like the second one a bit better.  They are both flattering and suitable for a spring wedding, but the second one gives you that little bit more.  Good luck!

I like you in the first one better, and I prefer the overall design of the first one as well.
