I need help deciding on my engagement ring. I have done tons of research and i am stumped. I love two completely different rings, one Tiffany’s and one Harold Stevens.
The first is the a Tiffany Soleste Ring:
A halo of white and Fancy Vivid Pink diamonds lends radiance to a sparkling white diamond center stone. Round brilliant diamonds in platinum and 18k rose gold. Carat total weight .38. $5500.00.
the wedding band for this would be a rose gold metro ring with diamonds.
The second is a Harold Stevens, San Diego based jeweler (im in dallas texas):
18K white & rose gold engagement ring with round brilliant diamonds & pink diamonds. Ring is made to acommodate for a stone weighing 0.50 to 3.00 carats. $3890.00 Center stone not included.
With the second ring i have tons of options to modify it to more vivid diamonds, smaller center stone to .75 or .50 carats, or even use pink sapphires instead of pink diamonds. The price would go up but no more than 5500 or so.
Not sure about the wedding band for this one. May not be able to have one… if so, i would thinkg rose gold diamond metro band… perhaps to enhance the rose gold.
Lastly, my style is quite casual and classic, but different.
P.S. sorry if the pics are huge…

@chelonmelon: I prefer the second ring.

OMG, #2 is TDF… to die for! What a beauty!

If you want pink diamonds, in my opinion they should be obvious. The Tiffany pinks look really nice and stand out. The pinks in the second setting just look like white diamonds enhanced by rose gold. I’d take the Soleste.

I think the second ring is the most unique! Plus I don’t really go for paying for brand names. Just my style.

I don’t like the second. I do however love the first 🙂

I’m a little confused…those prices are just for the settings? Or does the first one onclude the centre stone?

I love them both, but I lean toward the second one… It is really unique. My only concern would be what kind of a wedding band you would pair that with. I think it’s better as a stand alone ring. Do you know what you might do for the band with either option?

Have you tried them on? Which one felt right to you?
I have short, chubby fingers, so I would choose #1 (the soleste) because the wide band of #2 would make my fingers look even more like sausages.

@chelonmelon: Tiffany gets my vote. The second one, albeit beautiful in its own way, reminds me of an eyeball!

The first one seems like it would fit your style better. It’s classic and different, whereas the second one is just different.

I like the second one best
