I think it works beautifully! I think it is all in the matching sweetheart necklines and the way those necklines are achieved with the gathered fabric. Well done! I'm also partial to your choice of colors: my girls are going to be in shades of purple from aubergine to wisteria, and the groomsmen will be in shades of orange-y gold! :) Great minds...
I like that the neckline is the same, I think that ties it together very well. I think you made a great choice there. I also think your wedding dress is very lovely.
Or would this bridesmaid dress style go better with my gown? Bear in mind its a satin finish, not organza and my bridesmaids are of all different shapes and sizes. So maybe not all of them feel comfy with such a tight fitting gown.
Also, the boutique we tried this dress on at, took the designer tags off the dress and they wouldn't tell us who designed the dress when we asked. So my only option is to buy it from them - which i HATEE cos I feel like I'm forced to buy it from them instead of bargain hunting. They also didn't allow us to take pics but we snuck one in the change room - its hard otherwise, especially when I'm shopping for 3 bridesmaids whom are in my home country and not here with me to try the dresses on. (they also paying for their own dresses) Makes it very difficult.
Anyone by any chance know who designs this dress or what style number it is?
Thanks :)
@Cornflakegirl: thank you. Great minds do think alike. ;) I LOVEEE the color we speak of... just that every designer calls it a different name.
No, your first choice is perfect! The necklines and overall style compliment your dress SO well. I don't think you could choose dresses that worked better than those. And your dress is really beautiful :)
Both styles go really well but the first may work better if your BMs are different shapes, like you said.
I think both styles of bridesmaid dresses would work but I like the first style you showed better. And by the way, your dress is stunning on you.
@Bubbleriderkc: I hate snooty places that don't give you information. All they care about is what they can sell you, and how much they can rip you off. I hope you find a great look-alike!
I think they definitely work together. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your wedding dress btw :)
I don't think they need to match at all, but I love that dress. My maids wore something very similar by B2 and they all looked great.
I like the first choice- that is SO sneaky of that bridal shop - I've never heard of that before! Has anyone else?

Hi Ladies, I need your help.
Do you think this bridesmaid dress from Allure works well with my wedding gown? My gown is in light ivory and the bridesmaid dresses will be in a pinky plum/lighter shade of eggplant color. The wedding is in the late afternoon/evening and everyone will be in formal attire.
If you think the bridesmaid dress doesn't match the style of my wedding gown, any suggestions are more than welcome. Encouraged actually :)
Thanks ladies :)
