Hello all! My fiance and I have been engaged for almost 9 months now. We went through the process of designing our own ring after seeing several beautiful antique rings, but just not the prefect ring. Well, I definitely have the perfect ring now! The problem is I have no idea what to do for a wedding band, or to even do a weddng band! I need a fresh pair of eyes for the problem. What do you think?

@re827: Thats a tough one. Gorgeous ring though! It looks very similar to one I have drooled over many times. Would you be able to have a wedding band made to look like the detailed band of your e-ring? Thats probably what I would do.

I think what I would do in this case is move the engagement ring to my right hand before the wedding ceremony and make room for the wedding band of my choice to occupy my ring finger on it’s own.

@Fleur.De.Lis: that’s what I was originally thinking but now I’m worried it’ll take away from the center diamond if I frame it in more metal since if already had that hexagon but surrounding it. It makes it so difficult when you can’t try something on! My other thought was maybe doing a Horseshoe wedding bands that’ll glitz up the side but still leave the center alone. I just can’t find anything like it!

I have a antique ring too. I e really come up with two options – custom make a ring (most good places can do a rendering and show you what it would look like next to your ering. Second option is to put ering on the right hand an dust get a fancy wedding ring for your left. I decided to go with option one, custom making my ring.
