I am getting married in March of next year in the Orlando area. My fiancee and I have been looking at bands since we got engaged but are just having a really hard time finding what we want here (too many Miami and LA weddings???). We are looking for about a 6-8 piece band that plays a variety of music at least from the 80’s forward. Brass instruments of any kind are a plus :). We are desperate, please let me know if you’ve seen any decent bands!
Thank you so much for your help!

I’m looking for a band in the Orlando area as well. I’ve tried everything: Google, Gigmasters, Gigsalad and calling local venues…..NO LUCK! We’re looking for a versatile band to play R&B, hip-hop, Top 40. Funk, etc….
Keep me posted if you have any luck and I’ll do the same.

@FutureMrs.Davis: Thanks! We enjoyed Blue Stone Circle and The Leonard Brothers, but they just weren’t quite what we were looking for.
We ended up hiring a band from Miami who has played at several family functions. I can’t believe how slim the choices are around here! Aren’t there tons of musical people who work at Disney and Universal? No one has a band on the side??

Oh my gosh! I had the same problem finding a band in Orlando. I ended up going with Wings of Sound, since they were on my venue’s ‘approved’ vendor list, their price was right, and I liked their sample music.
The Headliners are supposed to be awesome but they were booked for my date. I also heard that the Buzzcatz were good, but they were more of a swing-type band, and their 6-8 piece package didn’t come with female and male vocalists (just male).

@BrideEleven: Same trouble here! Headliners were already booked, and Buzzcatz just didn’t feel quite right to us (and we also wanted both male and female vocalists).
Though it stinks to have this dilemma, I’m glad other people felt similarly– it’s nice to have some validation!

Hi, I was just wondering if any of you girls had managed to find a band? We’re in the exact same situation – I so assumed there would be TONS of fab bands – starting to get a little panicky!
