the cathedral of the sacred heart, downtown near vcu, will allow you to marry even if you are not members...i was just married there in june 2009 and they were wonderful to work with...it's a GORGEOUS church!!!!...let me know if you are interested in any further info; i'd be happy to chat - i love this church!! (the cathedral is also where mrs. cloud was married!)
We loved getting married at the cathedral! We were members, but hesspm is right, they will marry you if you are not as well. They just give members priority on choosing dates and a break in the cost. Call Michele Rosteck (804-359-5651 ext 102)and she will tell you everything you need to know. Good luck, its a beautiful church!

Hello fellow bees!!! I am having trouble finding a church that will marry us. We are Catholic but don't live in the Richmond area so therefore, I have been turned away by most of the churches I have talked to because we are not members, or the church is doing renovations, or they are booked. I am now looking at Episcopal and Anglican churches. Any recommendations? I am looking for something close to downtown.
