My sheath dress won't let me wear much by way of a garter, but I found this one that would work really well.

    http://www.spoylt.com/ProductDisplay/frmEnlargeProduct.aspx?ProductID=4072&CatalogName=SPOYLT&sPT1=View

The problem is it's only available in navy blue on the site I found it on, which will show through my dress. Has anyone seem anything similar in white, light pink, nude, etc?

     Thanks!

Can't say I've seen something like that, it is really beautiful.  What would you think about speaking to a seamstress about making one?

Looks like just a length of wide lace and a couple of strands of sequins sewn onto a piece of wide elastic.  It would be really easy to make yourself if you sew at all.  If not, maybe you have a friend who does?  The main thing is that design of garter is not going to be super-stretchy like the normal design.  So if your husband throws it, he might need to actually throw it rather than shooting it like a rubber band.  It might help to sew some little weights (flat metal discs?) under the lace to make it easier to throw.

Thanks for the input ladies. I look both of your advice and started searching online, and found this website:

     http://www.sewsassy.com/

They have tons of stretch lace trim, and for next to nothing, so I ordered several and am going to see about making my own. I think it should be similar, in a color that works for me, and a whole lot less expensive. Maybe I will throw in some beading or sequins to dress it up a bit...

I bet an Etsy seller could make one for you.
