Contact the city’s Chamber of Commerce. They set up so many different events that they will always know of all the tiny little places you wouldn’t have thought of, and would know what would work in your budget.

Maybe consider renting a private property for a day or two? You can look on a website like vbro.com, there are lots or properties listed for rent and some specifically note special events as well. Also check out your city’s womens club or a lodge. City parks will sometimes let you have a wedding there with a permit, I believe, but usually not your reception. Could you do an outdoor park wedding and maybe move the reception to someones house?

How about Ramona Hall in Highland Park. It has ample free parking. It is owned by the City or County of Los Angeles, but if you do a search online, you should be able to reach them at least to get a quote.

The local parks all offer inexpensive rentals. The park by the palmdale library offers rental for $60 an hour including chairs, tables, and electricity. All the VFWs offer rental spaces. I also heard that Schooner and Fresco 2 has rental, they are smaller places, so they might work for your guest list, not sure of the prices though. I am having trouble finding an inexpensive venue in this same area, but for 100.

Ahh Hello fellow AV brides! I was wondering if I’d run into anyone else from the Antelope Valley on here!

I know where I’m getting married they have a 100 person minimum, and I’m not sure about some of the others.  But have you looked into UAV? They have a ballroom. Or Elegant Affairs? Not sure how much they are, or if you’ve looked into them already.  The Elks lodge I think is decent, as well as the moose lodge or VFWs.  All have ballrooms, but are on the smaller side.

We got married at Montecillo De Leo Politi (in Elysian Park). We have a lot of people and wanted to serve alcohol, so it end up cost quite a bit. But for under 150 people and if you skip alcohol, the rental should cost less than $600.

When we were looking for venue, we also found another awesome place up in Altadena. I think it’s called Fawnwell Park or something like that (it’s near the dead end of Lake Ave). The rental included an amphitather that you can hold the ceremony and a reception hall. I thought it was a great choice but it wasn’t available for our date. I remember the rate was very good as well. Just search for public parks in Altadena and you should be able to find it.

@SparklyBride2011: I did check out UAV, but I went to school there, and it just didnt seem to click with me. I also saw Elegant Affairs. It was adorable, and I loved that everything (almost) is included. She wouldnt give me an exact quote or price paperwork because my date isnt until may 2013, she said that it was to far away to give me prices! I do like it though, so it’s still a contender. I just saw AV country club, and I think it might be the place. It is a little out of budget, but it was beautiful, and the coordinator spent so much time with me and was willing to customize anything so I could get my price down. @chowmeingrl: You might want to check them out, the pric range will most likly work for you. Rancho Vista golf course was also very beautiful, and the price range is the same. I also was just told about LAne Ranch in Quartz Hill on 60th West. I dont know pricing, but the pics online were pretty.
