A frame with their wedding invitation in it? A nice bottle of champagne for their first anniversary? Offer to help them put together a photo album on one of the online photo sites?

I think that their is something nice about having candlesticks or champagne flutes that they could say "We got these from our daughter at our wedding."  If you could find cheap, nice ones in their style that might be a nice gift.  You could have it engraved too.  Or maybe engrave a picture frame.  Good luck!  I am engaged and my dad just got engaged too!  I understand the parent getting married gift situation!

At my wedding, I’m offering all the moms (there are 4!) a monogrammed handkerchief. It’s not terribly original, but there aren’t many occassions in life where using something so elegant and dignified is so appropriate.

I realize this is your mom’s own wedding, and it could be really nice to offer her a gift acknowledging either the initial of her new last name (assuming she’s changing it) or the initials of both her and new husband’s names.

You can find individual letter handkerchiefs at White Aisle for $6.99 (http://www.whiteaisle.com/handkerchiefs.htm) – pic below

Or to make it even more personal, you can get a customized 1, 2 or 3-initial handkerchief from Felicia’s Fancies for $9-15 (http://www.ffcembroidery.com/monogrammedhandkerchiefs.htm) – lots of styles to choose from

Do you have any siblings or soon-to-be step siblings that you can combine resources with to get something?
