I currently live in Arizona and walk to and from work everyday. I always put sunscreen on my face but honestly don’t think about putting it on my arms every day ( know that it’s not smart, but let’s skip that for now). I never have had ssues with getting any color walking to and from work until yesterday, three weeks from the wedding. I now have strap lines from my tanktop. While it’s not the worst tan line ever, I don’t know how long it will take to fade. My initial reaction was to exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate. However, I don’t normally exfoliate with a special product and am hestiant to add a new product this close to the wedding. Do you think I will be okay? Do you have any suggestions or specific products to use? Yes, I will be putting head to toe sunscreen from now until the wedding!

I use exfoliating gloves for my body. if you’re worried, maybe go easy at first, just 2x per week. any more than that is probably overkill.
also, physical sunblocks (like zinc & titanium dioxide) work better than the chemical kind. finally, you might think about covering up or using a parasol. keeping the sun off you will work best of all, of course.
I’m super pale but when I get tanlines, they don’t fade very quickly. you might need to get an airbrush tan or perhaps have a makeup artist do some airbrush makeup on your shoulders.

@JenniferMm: you can wear a tube top and then change when you get to work? that way in can possibly even the lines out a bit.

if you don’t normally exfoliate there might be hope. I use a loofah (the round, spongy thingies) and same gloves as nerdybird mentions, and whenever I havent used them for a while (I just use them with regular showergel) and take a bath or go swimming, I notice that when drying off, I can almost rub dead skin off. Mmmmm! So if I were you, I’d try taking some good long baths and scrub the areas after soaking for a while – If this were my skin it would likely work if I had some weeks to work in. Especially as it doesn’t sound like a serious tan line 🙂
