I am planning a wedding shower for my best friend who is having a small destination wedding in Italy. Unfortunately, most of the ladies coming to the shower will not be able to make the trip to Italy and I’d like to be able to incorporate something from those special woman in her life at the ceremony. I am looking for ideas for something the ladies can create/make/write at the shower that can be used or displayed at the ceremony? This way my friend will have a little piece of those special woman with her in Italy. Any ideas are greatly appeciated!

You could get a plain white table runner and have people sign it. Then it could be placed on their guest book table at their actual wedding, as a reminder that even though those folks may not be there they are there in spirit. You could also have them put together a little video that she could watch the night before or the morning of. However, during the ceremony I think it should really just be about them. Perhaps asking officiant to make reference to those that couldn’t be there, but be on that I think it wouldn’t make sense.

To build on @mwitter80:‘s idea, you could also take black and white pictures of the women at the shower and print their images on the table runner using transfer paper. It’s really quite easy to do.
