I need you.
I recently made a batch of bouquet jewels for my cousin’s wedding. (see the picture)
The swarovski crystal is the one on the left and the pearl is on the right.
Yesterday we were at the florist putting together her bouquet for her reception (she got married in Mexico and is having an at-home reception) and the florist asked me if I would be willing to make the bouquet jewels and sell them in her store (uh, YES!).
So, I’m going to be making these pretty little bouquet additions, but I have one problem. I have NO idea what to call them!
Here’s the naming criteria:
-should be 1 word
-should be able to double as a verb (i.e. Google and googling)
-cannot be offensive
I planned to call them “twinks”–cute right? Well, apparently that’s also a slang term that could be super offensive to some people (darn it!). So I’m back to the drawing board and since I’m so hung up on my first idea I can’t get past it.
Does anyone have any ideas??
The reason I have naming criteria is because I want to establish a brand and give these little do-dads a name in my town. I plan to market them to other florists once I’m established.

What about Sparks? (put a little spark in your bouquet!)
shine, glint, glimmer, shimmer, twinkle, sparkle, flicker, wink, glisten, flash

Sparks was my second favorite…it’s still a contender!!

FYI Sparks is an alcholic beverage.
I like flicker and glint though!

I like gleams. So does winner get a set for her wedding? 🙂

how about glitz?
as in glitz up your bouquet with glitz…

@rosepinkslipper–thank you! Sparks is out.
@bridegrl–I’ve been bouncing that one around, but it just doesn’t quite fit. Maybe I need to think on it some more?? I’m trying to use all of the words in different sentences and conversations in my head to see what they would sound like coming out of a florist’s mouth…
@brenda–maybe! does that break any WB posting rules?!
@kcasam–I like twinklies, but I think it might be a little juvenile sounding.

Throwing one out here: “Bouquet Brights”?
I wanted to add that you might want to check your selected names with the Trademark office online to make sure your brand isn’t already in use. I’ve had clients who have run into that problem in the past and had to change things, so hope that helps in case you were not aware of it.
PS Congrats and the best of success to you on your new venture!

not sure, but i was just teasing. I do like Gleams though. Good luck, i’m sure whatever you pick won’t matter, the product speaks for itself. I’m not a pearl kinda person, but love love love the crystals. Best of luck!

I thought “Twinks” before I saw that was your idea. So I vote for that!

This reminds me of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days when they come up with “Frost yourselves”
Sorry, I know I didn’t help, but it totally reminded me of that movie!
