Hi Bees! I am new to this site and have been loving seeing everybody looking beautiful in their dresses. I bought my dress last week and have been worried that its “too simple” ever since. I’ve always known I wanted lace and a slim/fit and flare silhouette but I am still worried that this dress isn’t enough. I really do love the dress, but I just don’t want to regret not doing something flashier later. I’m attaching pics of me in the dress as well as the dress with the belt I bought to go with it! Also, I want to make the dress a sweetheart neckline which I think will hopefully do the trick to make me love it. Also, the pic of me in the dress is the sample and is a couple sizes too small. Please help! Honest opinions! Thank you

I love it. I think with the belt and sweetheart, it will definitely knock it out of the park!

Ooh, the belt is so unique. I love the way it lays in the back- so pretty. The dress is beautiful and so simple. If that is what you aimed for when you bought it, then stick with your gut! It’s easy to get wrapped up into what you “should” wear when you’re on these boards. I find myself questioning my dress choice non-stop. You’ve picked what suits you, just relax and stick with it! You’re going to look fantastic on your wedding day 🙂

It’s beautiful! THe added belt definitely does the trick to take it up a notch. Making the neckline sweetheart shaped will also add more of a flare (I love sweethearts!). The dress fits your perfectly, plus with your jewelry, hair, veil…etc you are going to look perfect!

It’s stunning– especially with the belt! It would be a great dress to wear with a lace-edged veil

Thank you all for the feedback! It really helps to get outside perspectives 🙂 Has anyone had a lace gown like this altered into a sweetheart?

The dress is beautiful! Great choice!
I am going to suggest, however, that you carefully consider your thoughts about trying to change the neckline to a sweetheart neckline. I don’t know if that will work as well as you’re anticipating due to the single direction, diagonal ruching on the bustline of the gown.

I LOVE it! Simple and elegant but the belt really makes it pop. Add a sweetheart neckline and i’m even more sold 🙂 Great choice and you look beautiful in it!
