My good friend’s daughter will be turning 2 soon, and I am not sure what I should get her. Here are some ideas I have had so far. I don’t have kids, so I want to know what other women/parents think would be good.
1. Dora Power Wheels
2. Toddler Gardening Cart – I know that the little girl likes to play in the garden!
3. Water Table – This is good for ages 2-6, so it may last her a good amount of time. Also, we live in California!
4. Toddler/kid pool
This pool is super cute and has little sprinklers that shoot out of the side. I think she may have a regular round pool, and I read some reviews about receiving this item with holes in it. Overal it has good reviews though.
All of these items are listed as age appropriate. Don’t worry about the price, if I get her a less expensive item, then I will get her a couple outfits or other little things to go along with it. Any and all help is appreciated!

I think the garden cart is a great idea, especially since you said she likes to play in a real garden. I would go with that.

@ImagineDragon24: if she likes playing in the garden I think the cart is the way to go! Otherwise, I totally plan to get a water table for my nephew when he turns two, so I’d do that!

I think the Power Wheels is way too over the top, but I really like the other choices. The garden cart would be my first pick though!

I try to avoid gifts which are too large, because if the parents don’t want that gift it can become a bit of an imposition. So I’d avoid the pool (quite large, and they already have one) and the car (again, quite large). (There might also be safety concerns – I never wanted my kids to have a motorised car when they were little, though the Dora one looks super safe, and smaller than other ones I’ve seen).
Either of the other gifts looks wonderful. But especially the garden set. Kids *love* acting out things, so doing some play gardening sounds ideal.

@ImagineDragon24: I think they’d all be great. I think the gardening one is adorable. Have you asked the mom? Only reason I ask is in case she might have something similar to any of them.

@paula1248: Thank you so much for voicing concerns. These were the same thoughts that kept going through my head about the pool and car, so you helped me rule those two out.
