I keep changing my mind with the colors and I need help deciding! I originally decided on a cobalt blue but now im thinking I would do 3 different colors. Below is a picture of the style, but my mother would be making the dresses, and 2 of the colors i want. The order of the colors would be that blue, a chocolate brown, that purple then repeat again. Does this look good? or should i just decide on one or two colors?? If I go with only 1 or 2 colors I just cant choose which ones!

Those two colors are really rich looking and pretty together. I would almost worry that the brown would take away from how lovely these two are together.
You should check out Mrs. Mascara’s posts on her bridesmaid dresses, she used the two colors you’ve posted plus a green color.

I agree, i probably wouldn’t throw brown in. I love those 2 colors together though.

For dresses, I’m not really seeing the brown meshing well with those jewel tones. The purple and blue look lovely together, though.

Thanks! The brown was always very iffy with me. One of my bridesmaids said she liked it when I showed it to her all laid out on the davids bridal dress your wedding. If I only have 2 colors though would it look good alternating them since I have 6 bridesmaids? or should I find a 3rd color that does go with them?

i think just the two colors would look fine. but if you wanted to throw in a third, i like cole b’s idea of using green.

I think you should have a blend of the two base colors (blue and purple) and have each dress vary a shade or two. That way they’ll all coordinate but each girl gets their own personal color. IF that’s too complicated, you could do what I’m doing – my MOH is wearing green and all the other bridesmaids are wearing teal – they match, but my MOH gets her own special color because she is special to me!

Love the two together! WHat about a teal color? I think that would look really pretty with the cobalt and the purple!

I agree with clarebee. Teal, purple and cobalt would be great if it fits in with your wedding colors.

I don’t see a problem with just having two colors. BTW, those are gorgeous colors! If you have 6 BMs, then two colors should work out perfectly. Does the 6 include the MOH? If the MOH is the 7th, maybe put her in a third color and put the 6 BMs in blue, purple, blue, purple, blue, purple. But even if the MOH is the 7th, I personally wouldn’t add a third color. I would do blue, purple, blue, purple, blue, purple, blue. Your MOH could still have a sash on her blue dress, maybe the teal that someone mentioned? Or even black? The four girls could be in the color that is more prominent in your wedding and the other three can be in the secondary color.
I personally think that three colors is too much for the eye to take in. I would stick with two plus those are such beautiful colors, why even add another?
BTW, do you work with MR or MH? I saw your profile that says you are a direct support worker? I used to work with MR, MH and behavioral disorders. Good times. 🙂

yeah i think i may stick with just 2 colors except a few of my bridesmaids (one being my second moh) have their own opinions. one thinks i should have the three colors or else do the toffee brown with that purple and the 2nd moh thinks i should have just one color and the moh a different. Althought i was looking online and saw some people gave everyone a different jewel tone color and that was pretty neat. I guess I have some serious decision making!
and simmonsgirl1 I do work with MH and behavioral disorders. I work with 4 women and they usually are either asleep or go to sleep shortly after I get to work (i do overnights) but if they are awake all we ever do is watch movies or play rummy. it is a fun time!
