We just officially booked our reception site and while going thru some of the details he said they had vases that we could use for free so im trying to figure out how to use them to save some money, we want tall centerpeices and the only tall vase he had looked like this
and i am trying to figure out what to do with them! Our colors are Purple and Teal and we are using orchids, white roses, hydrangas in the bouquets. The only ideas i have seen so far using these vases have incorporated feathers which im trying to stay away from.

@mmccann13: There are lots of pics online using those vases with flowers.
You can make them as simple or as elaborate as you like.

Those are the same vases I’m using. I’m planning on filling up the vase with purple water beads, with small lights at the bottom of the vase to shine up on the beads, then on top a big round bouquet of roses and carnations. And around the vase, some tea lights that the venue is providing, and maybe a round mirror under everything

I had vases just like that…some how don’t have a pro pic..or regular picture of what I did. But I used some branches I bought off of save-on-crafts.com and hot glued some preserved orchids to the branches with a little onion grass in them. I then used some short vases on some tables to give a little variety to the tables.
Here is a short version of what I did:
Sadly I can’t find a good picture of my tall vases.

@mmccann13: Our vases were slightly thicker than those and our colors were blue, white/ivory and pops of yellow. We used hydrangeas, runuculus, roses, daisies, tulips, thistles and a few others I can’t think of right now.

Those are all gorgeous! Thank you for your ideas! I think we are going to try and alternate between high and low vases!
