Have you considered just doing a rhinestone sash?  I’m not sure if I would like the rhinestone across the top and along the mesh/skirt of the dress, I guess I would have to see it, but I think a cute sash/belt might be enough and blingy necklace!

I agree – I think a sash would really help and would be much easier to balance visually than two appliques added at two different spots.

I actually like it plain, but I think you could definitely do the rhinestone around the bodice and at the hip. Honestly, it’s hard to imagine some of that stuff. I’d just go buy the applique and rhinestone strip and keep your receipt. Then you can bring them home and pin them on the dress and see how it will look. You can always return if it doesn’t look the way you want! And I like your idea better than a sash. I think a sash would cut up the look of this dress given then criss cross ruching. But you could give that a try too – just make sure you can return it!

@cpa333:  If you go the sash route I HIGHLY suggest using AbigailGraceBridal on Etsy. She just custom designed a rhinestone sash for me and it is beautiful. She ROCKS to work with and is super affordable. The original sash I loved from the bridal shop was $300 and hes was less than $160 with shipping. 🙂

Your dress is gorgeous. Since the lower half of the dress  makes such a statement, I suggest a bigger necklace to draw more attention to your face. You can even get away with a colored necklace.

I wouldn’t do a sash, I think it would hide the beautiful details of the fabric. I would accessorize with a statement necklace.

The dress is stunning on you just as it is.  I agree with other PPs who suggested a statement necklace.  If you’re going to wear a veil, you could have some embellishment on the veil as well.

also remember that you’ll be holding flowers in your pictures, so that will break up the whole look as well!
