My father and I danced to "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole. My dad loved the song and it was great because the tempo was slow enough so that we weren't rushing when we danced together.

Yes, go with the song that means something to the two of you! Not all dances have to be serious and I think your dad will really like that you chose a song that reminded you of him :)
We danced to "Love without end Amen" by George Strait, even though its a song about a boy & his father, my dad used to sing it to me, so I went with it. There are no rules when it comes to dance songs!
I think "Wild Thing" would be perfect because it is meaningful to you and your father. Plus it is a fun song.
My father and I danced to "Daddy" by Beyonce. Great song but definitely is sappy.
My dad and I are dancing to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw....its such a sweet song. It made me cry the first 5 times I heard it!
I like the Wild Thing idea though!

My Dad and I are really close. We both don't like getting up in front of people. I am a big tomboy! We used to sing "Wild Thing" by The Troggs when I was young. Do you think that is too upbeat for a Father/Daughter Dance? I really like "You can let go daddy" by Crystal Shawanda but I need to remove the last lyrics (it talks about him dying). Any other suggestions?
