Okay little Bees I need your help...

My FI and I are getting married on Jan 1, 2012 and his parents are paying for the entire weddiing...so I need to know what to get them as a thank you gift...they're also giving us money to be used towards our first home purchase...so I am wanting to give them something that will truly honor them and show our deepest appreciation...so that being said, what do we get them?

Any and all suggestions

will be certainly appreciated

Maybe a gift certificate for their favorite restaurant, or tickets to something they would really want, spa thing, fishing boat voucher for a day trip... Something that would give them a chance to do something enjoyable for themselves, together, after all the wedding excitement/stress has died down.

I know all my parents want after the wedding is a vacation, so I'm going off of that.

I think you need to show some restraint in the amount you spend. After all, given the money they have given you, you don't want them to feel like you just used some of their money to buy them a gift.

I suggest a nice frame for the wedding picture that you will give them following the wedding.

Something personal from the two of you. Are you good at crafts? I know people who can make a stained glass mirror, a quilt, various items from woodworking, cross-stitch, beautiful graphic designs, knitted blankets/afgans, etc. Figure out what you're good at and put in an investment of time not money into their present.
