Do you have any friends familiar with it? Or Photoshop? (They aren't the same, but if you know Photoshop then Illustrator is pretty easy to figure out). It will probably be much easier to do with a friend in person than by following written instructions from the the internet.
Another thought--- does your printer accept .pdf files? You can convert Word docs to pdf fairly easily. Go to the help section and enter "print to pdf," and you'll get step-by-step instructions.
I am happy to help, if they want illustrator or if they want a pdf, either way
I have done 4 invitations on a whim in the last 2 days for people who have left things to the last minute!
If you still need help, I'm happy to do so! Just send me a PM.
If you all ready have something put together in Word, I could recreate it in Illustrator in just a few minutes. Let me know :).
Good luck!

Hi ladies (and gents), I need some help. I'm ready to order my invitations from CardsandPockets.com and I'm going to have them print the invites as well (since they don't provide a printing template and from reading thier boards, DIY printing sounds complicated).
Anyway, they don't accept Word files so I have to use Adobe Illustrator. And I don't know how. Does anyone have experience with Illustrator?? Can you please help me? I'd rather have someone help me then go to Kinko's and tear my hair out trying to figure this out on my own....THANKS!
