Try looking at local dept stores. Where does she normally shop? Would they have something that works? Is it possible to have a dress custom made by a local seamstress if she doesn't find anything else suitable that fits?
One of the big problems with buying online is that you aren't able to try anything on before you buy so you won't know if it fits right or not, and it's very common to have two dresses (or any other type of outfit) that are listed as the same size that don't fit the same at all.

My mother and I are looking for good websites that have dresses/outfits suitable for Mother of the Bride who is plus size. Without sharing her weight, she's plus size x 5 (not her actual number size). We've looked all over the net and we can't find anything. We're hoping that the website(s) will have outfits than can be found in store, so that she may try on.
