Your dress is beautiful!!  And I wouldn’t worry about the sizing.  Seamstresses are amazing.  They really know what they are doing and I’m sure it’ll look perfect once it’s your size.

I think the sparkly brooch looks great, I would definitely keep it.  And maybe it won’t be as poofy once it has been steamed and hemmed?  Not sure about that one.

First of all, your dress is AMAZING.  The pleating is too die for, and the whole effect is just lovely.

It sounds like the only reasons you are doubting it is because of the fit and your friend’s bitchy comment.  The fit won’t be an issue as soon as your seamstress takes care of it, so just try to keep that in mind.  As far as the brooch, I am not a big fan of “blingy” wedding dresses, but this is not over the top.  If you like it, stick with it!

That dress is beautiful! I think once it’s fitted properly you will love it again. The belt is not ‘too blingy’. But if it really bothers you, look into another belt/sash to go on the dress. Personally, I’d leave it just like it is, but that’s just me. 🙂  The poofy could maybe be toned down a bit if you remove some of the crinoline from under the dress, it might be worth talking to the seamstress.

I think it looks very pretty on you and that you’ll like it much better once it fits you properly. The brooch is a little chunky, but I still think it’s pretty.

I like drop veils as well and think it will go well with the hairstyle you plan on having.

#1 That dress is amazing and gorgeous. Don’t you dare change it.

#2 It can totally be fitted to you, I wouldn’t worry about that. If you feel it’s too poofy see if the seamstress can take out a couple layers.

#3 I’m not a huge fan of the brooch, but it by no means looks bad. See if you can try a few different options at a salon and if nothing else pops out at you then keep it as is. The dress is very classy and expensive looking so I think with or without the brooch you would still fit your theme.

#4 A drop veil would be perfect with this gown–simple, clean, classy. As for hair, a Veronica Lake do could look nice. Would your hair hold a thick wave all night?

If you like the brooch then wear it, and pay  no attention to your friends comments about it. The dress should reflect what you like and not what she likes
