I dont think there is any “rule” that states that you have to have a certain number of people in your bridal party.  This is totally up to you, and who you are close to and want to have stand by you on your special day.  My wedding is going to be approx 75 people and I have 6 girls, and my  FI has 5 Groomsmen.  Even if you just had 1 person standing up there with you it doesnt matter, it all boils down to who really is deserving to stand up with you on your special day!

@blue_eyed_bride:  Exactly!

I have 3 close friends that are BMs, plus my  FI’s 2 sisters and his female best  friend, so 6 total BMs. My FI has 3 best guy friends who will be groomsmen, plus his brother and my brother, so 5 total groomsmen. I think it’s the 21st century and it really doesn’t matter if you don’t have an even number of BMs and groomsmen. From what I’ve read here on Weddingbee, a lot of girls are having “uneven” bridal parties!

Especially if you have more girls than guys – for walking down the aisle, I’m sure one lucky groomsmen will be happy to have 2 ladies on his arm!
