I am new to this forum and would like feedback on this ring. I am thinking about getting it for an engagement ring. My boyfriend just tells me I am the one who has to where it but I would love to know what you guys think about it.

Love it! Black diamond, or a very dark sapphire?

I love it! I think it would make a great ering. (My own ering is a black diamond.)

It is such a personal decision. I think it’s beautiful. Just make sure it’s something that you will not tire of at some point. I really thought that I wanted a pink diamond (or some other pale pink stone). My fiance would have bought me whatever I wanted but he did ask me a few times if I thought it was just a “trend” and if later i would wish that it was white. So, i went with white. And it’s beautiful. But I still look at pink erings here on weddingbee! I’m thinking that I need a right hand ring with a pink stone!!
A black diamond is a bit different though. Not as “trendy”. Also, I have a fairly extensive ring collection and my concern was that I wouldn’t want to wear my emerald ring/tanzanite ring etc with a pink stone on my other hand, I was afraid that it would clash and upset my sense of “order” due to how my brain is wired (attorneys aren’t exactly the most creative people!). You wouldn’t have that kind of issue with a black diamond. It would just look classy and would go with everything. The only issue I have with a black diamond is when it’s in a setting that doesn’t have much fire to it because I think it can make the ring look “flat”. Your setting definitely has “pop” to it and it looks like a nice compliment to the stone,
If you love it, go for it!

I love it! I have black diamond too, that is very similar to what I have, exact mine has non-diamond shanks. I originally thought I wanted pave diamonds down the side but found them to be uncomfortable, so I would for sure try on the setting to make sure you like it.

AS I scrolled down to look, the first thing that popped into my mind was “It’s black!” I never saw a black diamond before… It looks different that’s for sure. If I saw someone wearing that at a grocery line I would certainly take a double look!

I love it, too. I think it’s a gorgeous ring, and I’m partial to all combos of black and white. If you like it, do it!

I’m definitely a fan. I think that the halo and pave band really makes the black diamond pop.
