as I am having a cake and punch style reception I am debating using the largest room at our venue and having one half set up for the ceremony and the other end set up with the buffet stands and tables with seating etc. I don’t really like the idea of having it all in the one room, but given that I don’t want to pay silly money to hire a seperate room just for the ceremony I want to see if there is a way it can work.
The room is very large and the ceremony would be facing away from the reception area. I will be having the whole room decorated beautifully with white rose petals, a monogrammed aisle runner etc and the other end will have centrepieces and 3-4 buffet stands and a hot chocolate bar, so it will be clear they are 2 seperate areas if that makes sense. Do you think that as long as it is decorated and styled nicely it won’t matter, or do you think it will not look right if the guests enter the hall to be seated and can see at the other end that it is set our for the reception already?
