Hi Bees, My first dress fitting is this weekend, and I am just now starting my search for the right shoes. Obviously, since this hasn’t even crossed my mind until now, shoes are not that important to me… I’ve been looking online all day and have found some shoes I love, but I don’t know if any of them will work. My dress is ivory and lace. My ceremony is outdoor and on a deck, but it may be uneven. So 3 inch heels probably wont work, but my fiance is also about 7 inches taller than me so I may need some extra height. I LOVE the colored shoe look, but I think it would give my mother a heart attack. Any suggestions?? I guess the most important things are comfort and that they match my dress.
Also, do people generally have 2 pairs of shoes… one for the ceremony and one for the reception?

I have a pair of Jimmy Choos in gold glitter and I’ll get a pair of flip-flops for after the ceremony. I’ve actually been thinking of just wearing the flip-flops though too (and returning the Jimmy Choos to buy more clothes for the honeymoon!).

I say go for comfort u do not want to be in pain on your big day 🙂 also talk to ur mom and show some pic of the colored shoe look and then decide if u really love that look do not overlook it because of your mom 🙂
I have my 2.5 inches heels (i am the opposite of u anything more than 3 inches and i am the same height or taller than my SO) which i love but i just know they will hurt me after few hrs of wear so i found a very cute pair of ballerina slippers that i just ordered so i can have when my feet start to hurt 🙂
good luck finding your shoes 🙂
