One of the salons in my area has been good enough to special order a Pronovias Alborada in my size just so I can try it on. They really went out of their way, and I really appreciate it- but I just realized that I don’t know what the back closure is!
This probably isn’t an issue for many brides, but I’ve found that zipper closures make me look MASSIVE whereas the corsets make me feel confident so it’s a big deal for me. I didn’t think to ask when they told me they’d try to get it in, but now that they’ve just got it into the store for me this week I’m really worried. I’m at no obligation to buy, but I’d feel terrible if I hated it and it was all because I didn’t do enough research.
Anywhooo, I’ve tried some internet sleuthing and can’t figure out from pictures or descriptions what the back closure is.
Do any of you clever Bees who what the standard back closure is for the Pronovias Alborada?

I am guessing zipper, all the Pronovias gowns I tried were zipper….

I was considering purchasing a dress that came with a zipper and the bridal consultant mentioned that it would be possible to have the dress made with a corset, although it was a bit extra. Maybe that’s an option? Beautifull dress! Can’t wait to see some pictures of you!

Ugh…now I’m worried. I hope this is the most gloriously beautiful zipper closure of life.
I’d say that’s an option, but I get the feeling from the owner that because they ordered it in my size (to my measurements) and in my preferred color that they would want me to buy the sample they brought in for me rather than order another. I’ll ask though!

It’s a zipper, i guess. There’s a picture of the back here: http://www.bestbridalprices.com/images/pronovias/2011/large/Alborada.html
The veil covers most of the back but it would look different if it had a corset

My dress is coming in as a zip back, but I am having it replaced with a corset. Corsets are just so much more complimentary on my curves. I think it will be about $150 for them to do it.
