@HeatherRose83:  I voted for the gold numbers, but if you really like the wine bottle ones why not paint them one of your light colours then write on them with your darkest colour, or vice versa?

ETA: If that gold runner is what you bought, then I change my vote to glitter numbers but maybe with green glitter since you don’t mention having that on the table yet.

You should post the pictures of the ones you already DIY-ed.

I love the gold ones best, of the pictures you posted, but the chalk paint wine bottles are pretty cool too, although I’d want to find a way to dress them up a little – they’re a little stark looking…

@HeatherRose83: I guess I missed the part about the gold table runners…that probably will be A LOT of gold on gold and the table numbers won’t stand out very much.  What about a glittery  white?

@HeatherRose83:  I’m rooting for either the sparkly or gold numbers. I think they’re much classier than the wine bottle with chalk (no offense to anyone, just not my personal taste, also wouldn’t give my opinion if it wasn’t being asked!) Of course, FI’s opinion matters. Talk it out with him if it’s worth it, in general the two of you should do what you both want to do, although I realize that’s tricky when you have different opinions!

@HeatherRose83: Aww! That’s really cute! I still don’t know about the gold on gold, but what if you put it on something else, like a bigger wooden platform painted white.  You could sit all of your centerpiece items up on it and I think it would provide enough of a contrast.

Kind of like this, except with a table runner underneath: http://s6.weddbook.com/t5/9/0/3/903539/centerpieces.jpg

@HeatherRose83:  YA…I was thinking more like a larger version of the base of your numbers painted white – but I looked for like 30 minutes for a picture showing that and the white plate was the best I could find to sort show it…

I think the books could be cute, but I (but I’m a little OCD about stuff like this) would want to color coordinate them.  Finding the right color books could be hard, but you could always find a wrapping paper and cover them like back in middle school, lol!

@HeatherRose83: I had no idea you could buy books on Etsy!  Learn something new everyday! And if you were going with painting I think I would match it to the table cloth color.  I feel like if your table cloths were ivory (which is what my venue coordinator suggested – she said having so much white is really harsh) the white right next to them could make it look dingy.
